Scicos bug on Ubuntu 8.04

Greetings,

I've installed ScilabGTK 4.2 on Ubuntu 8.04, and when trying to
connect scicos blocks I can't make the line stick to the next block no
matter what I do. I cannot even get rid of the line unless I press the
ESC button. I've installed the same version on Windows XP and I don't
see this problem there.

regards,

Hazem

Hello,
I tried it on Ubuntu (deux different ones) and I don't see the
problem. It works fine for me. Are you sure you have the official
release of ScilabGTK 4.2 available from www.scilabgtk.org and
www.scicos.org ?

Yes, I downloaded the .deb file for Ubuntu from ScilabGTK site.
Moreover, the same happens with Scilab 5.02 from scilab.org, but it
doesn't happen with Windows in either version of Scilab.

Ubuntu responds to right- and left-clicks from the mouse in other
sitations, so I don't think this is a mouse/linux issue.
