Digits in front of "dot" of floats29 Feb 2008 17:16 GMT3
Hello group,
I've asked this question in de.sci.mathematik before (2008/01/25), but
my query didn't yield any results - so here it goes again:
I'm trying to make Maple display one digit in front of the dot

convert symbolic for numerical calculation26 Feb 2008 18:43 GMT1
I want to convert a lengthy (several pages) expression of trigonometry
of several angles and parameters into C++ code for numerical
calculation. I did a simplify, then edited the expression into C++. It
is not very efficient for calculation nor easy to maintain. The
Integrand extraction question25 Feb 2008 18:52 GMT2
Is there a nice way to extract an integrand; that is, if we have an
expression of the form Int(f,x) or Int(f,x=a..b) can we easily get f?
This issue arises when we manipulate  Int(g,z) by changing variables,
doing integration by parts, etc., to end up with Int(f,x) in which

maple 6: how to determine the least positive value of a list?24 Feb 2008 09:20 GMT2
I would like - as mentioned in the subject - to
determine the least positive value of a list.
IHow can I do it?
Furthermore, shouldn't Maple have a 'rank' function for lists?
plotting piecewise function21 Feb 2008 12:20 GMT2
Die Mapleists,
if I plot two a piecewise function like

                        - -- x  + -- x  - --- x + 5
define the size of a plot for printing21 Feb 2008 04:52 GMT2
Dear Mapologics,
is there a chance to fix the size of plot in the printout of a document.
I use Maple 11 in document mode. If I print the document, the e.g. graphs of
functions are very large. I can make them smaller by using the mouse, but
Maple 9.5 font problems on Mandriva 200819 Feb 2008 15:42 GMT1

I'm trying to use the unapply function to a vector but it looks like
it does not work this way. Here is my code

Better way to skin a boolean expression?12 Feb 2008 07:27 GMT4
I am sure there is a better way to do this; and am a bit on the tired
side ..
so just going to ask. :)
Lets say I have boolean variables x1:x7 and the following expression:

I used to coming here and asking for help about maple. Lots of
wonderful experts helped me a lot and I really liked this group.
However, now this group is no longer a maple group...
Thanks again to all of those who helped me with maple!

If the same bugs exists through numerous software releases,
I think that is valuable public information.
It just should not happen.
