| Differential Equations: Newtons law of cooling | 03 Apr 2007 15:07 GMT | 1 |
I have a differential equation for newtons law of cooling. The general form is: dX/dt = -k(X-A(t)) where A(t) is the variable temp of the enviroment. A(t)= 5 - 3cos t(pi/12).

| Possible Solution to Indeterminite Operation 1^ Infinity | 03 Apr 2007 04:53 GMT | 24 |
1^Infinity is an indeterminite operation, but maybe I found a solution, maybe an explanation, or maybe I made an error. My solution is somewhat elementary, as presented here: Consider the equation (x = 2): This can also be interpreted as x = 2(1), due to the identity property. In ...

In Approximate geometrical constructions for ?, Quarterly Journal of Mathematics XLV (1914), 350-374 Ramanujan gave a construction for pi as (9^2 + 19^2/22)^(1/4). It's hard for me to access this paper, does anyone know it if this is
