It is not possible for me to copy something from help pages and paste it to the main scilab-5.0.2 window. I'm using windows XP, and the new scilab-5.0.2. Can somebody explain what I'm doing wrong ? (If I shadow the text with left clicking my mouse on the help page nothing happens

with Scilab 4.1.2, one was able to change %scicos_menu to add a new menu in scicos. Now this return an error : !--error 13 Redefining permanent variable. How to do in Scilab 5 ?

I installed Scilab 5.0.1 for Windows and ran an old simulation that generates some simple graphs in multiple graphic windows with text labels and a couple with just text only. In all cases the fonts were rendered poorly. Increasing the font size or font type used didn't make any

In scilab 5.0.1 on Ubuntu 8.04.1/i386, just type : --> a=ls --> a(1) Anyway, it was probably not a good idea to type this :-)

Hello Scilabers I have installed the newly distributed Scilab 5.0.1 on my laptop, Linux x86 Fedora, Nvidia card, Driver Version: 173.14.12. I use the binary distribution which is readily installed.

Is it possible to find in which directory is a file ? What is the function ? The getcwd gives the current directory and not a scpecific file location.

I have tried to install scilab 5.0.1 under Linux (Kubuntu 7.10 with graphics card Intel 85x and i810 graphics driver). I read on the release note that "Errors often appear on Intel cards under Linux"

thank you for delivering scilab 5.0.1. I compared the time needed to plot between scilab 4.1.2 and the new one on Windows XP SP3. I was very astonished about the VERY slow new version.

I've not had much luck in plotting 3d data points. They are generated from a sensor, rather than a function, and are of the form x, y, z, with each a column vector. When I look at the scilab documentation, it seems that the 3d plotting functions all require x and y to be of

After installing scilab on a suse linux system, I found that the generation of graphs crashes scilab with: scilab-bin: indirect_vertex_array.c:1359: __indirect_glTexCoordPointer: Assertio n `a != ((void *)0)' failed.
