I need to calculate prediction confidence intervals (i.e. predicting Y from
X) from a weighted linear regression. Anybody got an idea on how to do that?

I want to recode all  variables to have values of 666 or higher be
missing (rather than having three distinct missing values). What's the
syntax on this?

I am working with a data set that holds the results of a large survey,
with a total of over 20,000 cases.
We have a lot of nominal-level variables with three answer categories:
1=Yes, 2=No, 9=No response. I want to determine if observed differences

im not very common with SPSS but i was told to evaluate a Seminar. I have

I am left truncating a variable. For this, I need to know
whether the variable is less than the Nth percentile. I can find
the Nth percentile using frequencies (notable) and then use this
value in my syntax. Is there a quick way to assign this value to

I am using OMS to get data from some tables into a new datafile. Every
time I try  it, SPSS truncates the labels that find a new home in the
data file. I have previously never had a problem with this. I can't

I have two variables that measure the same, so I want to combine them.
When at the one variable there is a response from 1 to 5 at the other

I recently merged two datasets and when I added cases, the responses to
open-ended string variables from the added file did not import. All the
other matched variables imported fine. Any thoughts on this or how I
might be able to fix it?
