Hi comp.soft-sys.stat.spss,
I posted a similar question a while back on sci.stat.math, but didn't
get much of a response.

Dear comp.soft-sys.stat.spss,
I have two groups of people, 1 and 2, that differ on a cognitive
variable, C, and on an EEG variable, E. I'm told (on sci.stat.math)
that the usual way to see how C and E might be connected, is to regress
How do I Enter this kind of data in SPSS???30 May 2006 20:53 GMT8
I was hoping someone here might be able to help with a problem I'm having. I
need to do a survey analysis of questionnaire data. However, some of the
survey questions I don't know how to enter into SPSS, as they seem to be
two-dimensional.

How to exit an unsuccesful LOOP?27 May 2006 22:40 GMT10
I've been writing loops and making mistakes.  Unfortunately, after I
make a  mistake that results in an unclosed LOOP, I have to close and
re-open the data file because it becomes locked.  The status line reads
"Transformations Pending", but running transformations only yield more

minimum number of cases for a correlation?26 May 2006 20:04 GMT3
I am reviewing a piece of research in which a correlation of .6 has
been found between two variables. The scatterplot is okay. However, the
N is 12. I remember reading somewhere that an N of 50 was the minimum
required for a correlation.

Identifying Data format for further operations25 May 2006 14:02 GMT1
Yet another basic-level question, hope it won't irritate advanced
users.
I need to figure out whether the data format is string, numeric or
data-type.
