Control/Experimental Group Pretest/Posttest27 Jun 2006 03:03 GMT2
Greetings!  I am a novice that is trying to find the way I would go
about analyzing data on SPSS.  I gave a pretest survey and a posttest
survey to an experimental group and a control group.  (It was the exact
same test given twice - but - the control group received one version
3-way interaction- analysing and plotting results26 Jun 2006 19:10 GMT4
can someone please advise on this:
In using hierarchical multiple regression, i've tested for 2 and 3 way
interactions in my models. What I've discovered is a significant 3 way
interaction of a*b*c. This is fine, but the problem lies in
hierarchical linear mul. regression26 Jun 2006 13:30 GMT2
just a quick question for a research project I'm working on:
When doing hierarchical linear regression, when considering the final
model - step 4 (with all terms included), when only e.g., 1 term is
significant, does it mean that the other terms (which are not
group contrasts in SPSS ANOVA26 Jun 2006 13:23 GMT2
My question relates to the way that SPSS goes about doing contrasts.
First let me mention that SPSS and SuperAnova do not give the same
output when doing contrasts. Also, I noticed that SPSS seems to give
the same output for a given contrast that is obtained by doing a

Export spps file24 Jun 2006 18:41 GMT7

Theorical question about inference24 Jun 2006 02:11 GMT3
I know it's a basic question, but I couldn't get an answer from the www
resources.
Since inference is about estimating population parameters from a
sample, are correlation and khi-2 inference techniques or not ?

Sobel test (preacher & hayes, 2004)?23 Jun 2006 18:30 GMT1
I used Preacher & Hayes (2004) macro to determine the indirect effects of a
mediating variable.  Now, from the results,  I have some significant
results.  However, I can't figure out which statistics to report?  The
confidence interval? The Z score?

macro, determine # of cases in a file?23 Jun 2006 15:15 GMT5
Is there a way to determine the numbers of cases in a file while inside a macro?
I am selecting a subset of data, creating an id using $casenum.  I need to create
a variable (I have called it !var, see loop) that tells me how many cases are in
the file.
