Given a multiple regression equation with (say) 4 IV's, how I can

I have a variable with dates in the following format --> MM/DD/YYYY
and in the spread sheet it shows "mm,dd,yyyy." How can I convert the
values to mmddyy? In other words, how do I remove the commas and the
two first digits of the year?
